Committees

Events Committee:

If you want to help plan some campus events, but you don’t want to put your name on a ballot, this is the committee for you! Students on this committee help the Programming Board organize, execute, and oversee all ASG-sponsored events. Members are expected to attend all ASG and committee meetings but are not required to do so. The time commitment is low and students are expected to do as much, or as little, work as they want! You can apply to join this committee using the button below!

Health and Wellness Committee:

Are events not your thing? Fine with us. This committee is dedicated to reviewing the well-being of the student body to advise the ASG, and subsequently University leadership, on the steps they should take to improve the quality of campus life. Like all other committees, students who join are expected to attend ASG and committee meetings but are not required to do so. If you have a passion for caring for your peers, please do not hesitate to join us using the button below!

University Senate Committee (Ad hoc):

Students on this committee serve as advisors to President Zachary Boudah as he fulfills his duties as a member of the University Faculty Senate. The Senate is a legislative body within the University administration that is responsible for creating and reviewing policy in and outside of the classroom. There are only 9 undergraduate students who serve on the Senate to represent the over 22,000 undergrads who attend the University. If you would like to help Zach make sure that the needs of all Avery Point students are considered, email him at zachary.boudah@uconn.edu!

Constitution and By-Laws Committee (Ad hoc):

The ASG is always looking for ways to improve. Its Constitution and By-Laws are always in need of review and revision to ensure that the organization functions in the most effective way possible. If you want to lend a hand in the rulemaking of the ASG, reach out to zachary.boudah@uconn.edu!
